AGRIFOODSKILLS Project Abstract

The AGRIFOODSKILLS project is funded by the Erasmus+ program with a budget of 4 million euros and will run for 48 months. The consortium consists of 29 partners from 13 European countries, coordinated by UNITO (University of Turin).

AGRIFOODSKILLS aims to contribute to the strategic development of the Community of Experts within the Agrifood Pact for Skills, enhancing the competencies of workers in the plant and animal production, agri-food, and veterinary sectors. This will be achieved through innovative content on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, the future of food, digital and ecological skills, while building on the results of previous projects: FIELDS and I-RESTART.

Additionally, AGRIFOODSKILLS will serve as the backbone of the Agrifood Pact for Skills (Agrifood P4S) by sharing project outcomes with the Community of Experts. The Observatory, structured into working groups and involving Agrifood P4S members through meetings and dissemination events, will ensure long-term sustainability.

The project complements and strengthens the strategies of FIELDS and I-RESTART in agriculture and veterinary activities, providing essential tools to address future challenges through micro-credentials organized into competency levels (EQF levels 3-5 and 6-8).

Furthermore, the Forum 2050 will serve as a strategic platform to guide the direction and resources of the Observatory's working groups, offering critical insights and proposals to support their activities.

Several partners are working as consortium members on the project, including Campden BRI Hungary.
